Emerald Fortune

Emerald Fortune was born to a large family of unicorns. He got his cutie mark when he was very young; although he doesn't remember the event, he got it when he predicted the future for the first time. The clover represents his ability to predict good and bad luck to come in the future. Emerald is arrogant and always speaks his mind, to the point of being blatantly honest. This can lead to him being in some bad situations, but he usually fails to realize his mistake until it's too late. If you aren't discouraged by him speaking his mind and his stuck-uppedness, he has a soft side and really does care about other ponies. He was gentle with his younger siblings, but he tended to get into arguments with the older ones frequently. He still loved his older siblings, though, although they could be hard to deal with sometimes. (While he lived with them.)  He really cared about and loved his family, but they didn't exactly have much money for things, like, say.... food. The family's last name is Fortune, which is kind of ironic. So Emerald, to lift the burden of his struggling parents and siblings, packed up and headed to Germaney. (Bad pony pun XD) The language was hard to learn, but Emerald did his best. He began working as a crystal gazer, which he had always had a talent for. It made him good money, enough to provide for his own needs and be able to send some back to his family. One of his clients got angry at him one day after Emerald read his future and told him how bad it was. Emerald was accused of practicing witchcraft, and he had a speedy trial in which he was judged guilty. When he was about to walk up the steps to the gallows, he did a transportation spell. He escaped to a far-off land and then took a boat from there; he never said a word of goodbye to his family, because he didn't want the authorities to find him and execute him. His family lived on, and never knew what happened to their child. 


He is twenty four years old in pony years, which is three human years. However, these are magical ponies that live in a magical world, so I'm not sure that applies. XD Still, he is at the maturity level of a twenty four year old.
